East Fishkill Man Charged With Drug Possession After Traffic Stop

LAGRANGE, N.Y. -- An East Fishkill man was scheduled to appear in LaGrange Town Court on Monday to answer drug-possession charges, New York State Police at Poughkeepsie said.

State police from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested Andrew S. Bitteker, 25, of East Fishkill, on a charge of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor, on Nov. 24.

Troopers stopped Bitteker in the area of Route 376 and Walker Road for failing to maintain his designated lane of travel. An investigation revealed that Bitteker possessed heroin and oxycodone, police said.

Bitteker was issued appearance tickets to appear before LaGrange Justice Court on Monday.
